Bet You Wish This Was an Art Podcast has two hosts - Elene and Stephanie. We met while doing our Master’s together at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and quickly realised that our love for all things art and art history was mutual. During our Master’s we shared an assignment for which we decided to create a small podcast episode. This small episode ended up being an hour long and yes, our professor had to listen to the whole thing. We had so much fun while working on this assignment that we decided to actually pursue it and make an all-out podcast, ‘cause why not? So here we are now. Scroll down to learn more about us individually.

Our Mission

We are currently a bi-monthly art history podcast but but we’re also not an art history podcast. Here at BYWAP we love all things art, and that leads us to sometimes talk about current issues in the art world, helpful tips for artists trying to make it in this harsh world, as well as about exciting cultural organisations and concepts concerning art.

We generally follow an episode release formula:

  1. Art history themed episode

  2. Cultural organisation/concept themed episode or a guest episode

  3. An artist themed episode

  4. Article discussion

This formula sometimes changes, but we try to stick to it as much as possible.

Elene Kadagidze is an researcher and museum professional from Tbilisi, Georgia. She has a Bachelor’s in Art History and Theory, and a Master’s in Arts and Heritage. Her interests lie in making the museum a more inclusive space for everyone and maximising it’s potential to educate people on important issues. Her current research is on senses-based learning - a pedagogical methodology for tertiary education focusing on exploring and developing sensory skills and critically reflecting on their importance in research and professional practice. She is currently residing in Belgium. You can find her on LinkedIn and her project’s website (

Stephanie Antonijuan is a Spanish-American queer art and museum enthusiast and blogger from Sarasota, Florida. She has a Bachelor’s in Art History and Theory, and a Master’s in Arts and Heritage. When she’s not yelling about social inequities on the podcast, she’s probably on twitter yelling about the need for socially inclusive museum spaces. Her current home is Florida, but this world-traveller has big plans to move to faraway places. You can find her on Instagram (@thatmuseumgirl) or Twitter (@steph_ant).

Lindsey Anton-Wood wears a lot of different hats. Primarily touques. Well, actually only touques. For this podcast she wears the design touque. She also thought that this idiom would sound a whole lot better than it actually does. Hailing from Canada, she has a Bachelor’s degree in History and Canadian Studies, and a Master’s in Arts and Heritage, emphasis on the heritage. You can find her on Instagram (@lindseyantwd), LinkedIn, or on her website - lindseyantwd.ca
